Meet Hugo – Future Stud

Hugo of Frinimmy's joined TeddyGems in July 2026 after travelling from Belgium. Bred by Anoeska Fondu of Frinimmy's Cattery, Hugo brings exciting new bloodlines to our breeding programme, and we are incredibly grateful to Anoeska for entrusting him to us.

Hugo is a handsome blue British Shorthair carrying cinnamon, with a dense plush coat, expressive copper eyes and a wonderfully calm, affectionate temperament. He has already impressed with his excellent breed type, and we are excited to watch him mature.

Our Future Studs

At TeddyGems, health, temperament and breed type are at the heart of every breeding decision. Hugo has been DNA tested and is negative for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and ALPS (Autoimmune Lymphoproliferative Syndrome). He is also blood group B, carries cinnamon, and is confirmed pure British Shorthair (no Longhair gene). He will continue to undergo routine health screening as he matures in line with our breeding programme.

We have exciting plans for Hugo's future, where he will complement our girls and help us continue breeding healthy, well-socialised British Shorthairs that meet the breed standard in both type and temperament.

Benjamin of Flying Castle ("Lion King") - Stud to our Current Litter

Benjamin, affectionately known as Ben or "Lion King," is the handsome stud we carefully selected for Ember's first litter. His exceptional breed type, striking appearance and affectionate temperament made him the perfect choice for introducing the TeddyGems breeding programme.

Ben is a chocolate British Shorthair carrying both cinnamon and dilute, offering exciting genetic potential while maintaining excellent type and temperament. His pairing with Ember produced a beautiful, healthy litter with a wonderful variety of colours, including lilac, cream, cinnamon and tortie kittens.

We are incredibly grateful to Ben's owner for allowing us to use him and for helping us establish the foundations of the TeddyGems breeding programme. His influence will remain an important part of our cattery through this special first litter.
