At TeddyGems British Shorthairs, our queens are cherished members of our family first and foremost. Each girl has been carefully selected for her exceptional temperament, health, breed type and loving nature, helping us to preserve the beautiful qualities the British Shorthair breed is known for.
Our queens are raised within our home and enjoy a calm, enriching environment where their wellbeing always comes first. We are committed to responsible, ethical breeding with a strong focus on health, temperament and producing confident, well socialised kittens suited to family life.
Every TeddyGems litter is thoughtfully planned with great care and consideration, and we take immense pride in watching our queens raise happy, healthy kittens surrounded by love from the very beginning.
Lunabears Aurora Sunrise, affectionately known at home as Ember, is the beautiful foundation queen of TeddyGems British Shorthairs. Registered with GCCF as a Lilac Tortie British Shorthair, Aurora combines striking colour, excellent type and the calm, affectionate temperament the breed is so loved for.
Bred by Mrs E Johnstone of Lunabears and proudly shown in Championship classes, Aurora is a much-loved member of the TeddyGems family, where she enjoys a life full of cuddles, catio adventures and show day fun alongside her feline companions.

Lunabears Aurora Sunrise
Lunabears Akela, affectionately known as Kiki or more commonly “The Cheeky Keekster” at home - is one of the much-loved future queens of TeddyGems British Shorthairs. Full of personality, confidence and charm, Kiki perfectly balances the classic British Shorthair temperament with a playful mischievous streak that keeps everyone entertained. Raised as part of the family, she is known for her affectionate nature, curious character and love of being involved in absolutely everything going on around her.
Bred by Mrs E Johnstone of Lunabears, Akela carries the beautiful breed type, temperament and pedigree lines that TeddyGems is proud to continue. Whether she is supervising daily routines or posing beautifully for the camera, Kiki brings warmth, humour and elegance to the TeddyGems family.
